BTS’s Jimin Surpasses 2 Billion Streams on Spotify

 

BTS’s Jimin has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing 2 billion streams on Spotify, demonstrating his global popularity.

According to the recent announcement by Guinness World Records, Jimin shattered the previous record by reaching 1 billion Spotify streams in just 393 days, which is 16 days earlier than the former record holder.

This record includes both his individual profile streams and those from his three solo songs (across four tracks) featured in BTS albums. As of May 27th, Jimin’s all-credit streaming count has surpassed the 2 billion mark.

His debut solo album ‘FACE’, released on March 24th and consisting of five music tracks and one sound effect track, has been a driving force behind these impressive streaming numbers. ‘FACE’ recorded over 551.7 million streams as of June 1st.

Among Jimin’s solo songs included in BTS albums, ‘Filter’ stands out with over 380 million streams. In addition to that, ‘Serendipity (Intro+FLE)’ has accumulated over 369.5 million streams while ‘Lie’ has more than 214.3 million.

Jimin is making strides as a representative solo artist in K-pop on Spotify. He holds an ongoing record for appearing on Spotify’s Global Top Artists Daily Ranking for an unprecedented consecutive run of 78 days as a K-pop soloist and he also set another significant record by topping the chart on Spotify Korea for the forty-third time – a first for any K-pop soloist.

Moreover, from May 22nd to May28th , Jimin topped South Korea’s Spotify Weekly Top Artists chart marking him as the first and only solo artist to hold onto this position for three consecutive weeks and six weeks in total.

During that week, his main theme song ‘Angel Pt.1’ for Hollywood blockbuster ‘Fast & Furious10’, was number one on Weekly Top Songs chart making him the first Korean artist to achieve such feat; followed closely at second and third place were original English versions of ‘Like Crazy’. This achievement further solidifies his status as ‘Spotify King’.”

Jimin’s continued domination within South Korean charts coupled with consistent presence within global top artists ranking reaffirms his position amongst leading K-Pop artists today.
